Aims/priorities: Grants are available to create opportunities for research, innovation and transformative projects in the archive sector in England and Wales. The funding is intended to prepare the archives sector for the future, in an uncertain world. The funder will invest in the skills of the archives sector workforce; in research, to lead innovation in technology and archival practice; and in engagement, to connect archives with changing societies in places across England and Wales. There is particular interest in funding that will confront the challenges of today: preserving and sharing the digital record, reducing environmental impact and adapting to climate change, and helping the archives sector become more diverse, equitable and inclusive. The records can be in analogue or digital formats and can be inside or outside of the custody of the records creator or a recognised collecting archive institution. Who can apply? Public sector bodies, not-for-profit organisations including registered charities, and for-profit organisations including business archives can apply. The organisation must employ or have access to professional support from an archivist or similarly qualified professional. Grant amount: Grants of up to £10,000 are available. The Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) Community Fund (East Lammermuir) will be proactively distributed by East Lammermuir Community Council on activities to achieve priorities laid out in the area's Local Place Plan (LPP) 2024-2034. For the first three years (2025-2028) an annual amount of £183,600 (rising in line with inflation) for the East Lammermuir area is donated by NnG, a joint venture between EDF power solutions UK and ESB, which owns the NnG offshore wind farm. The Fund is expected to last for 25 years, the anticipated initial lifetime of the wind farm.

The Advanced Wireless Technology Grant Fund is designed to help public and private sector organisations in North Wales to upgrade or enhance their use of advanced wireless systems. With the improvement of digital infrastructure across our region, it aims to help create stronger communities, more innovative businesses and a more resilient economy. Advanced wireless technologies are revolutionising the way businesses operate by providing faster, more reliable and more secure connectivity. In this context, advanced wireless technologies cover the full range of wireless solutions used in communications services. While 5G networks will be a significant area of focus, we also recognise the important role of Internet of Things (IoT), Wi-Fi and satellite communications. A total of up to £18.8 million capital funding is currently available between 2026 and 2030. Applicants must be based in North Wales and projects must take place within the region. The North Wales region consists of the counties of Isle of Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Gwynedd and Wrexham. Grant funding covers the Implementation stage of projects only; it will not cover the Operation stage. Following implementation, the successful applicants will operate the solution for at least three years, continuing to evaluate the impact of the solution and reporting on benefit realisation. Applicants must be able to provide at least 50% match funding to deliver their project and must be able to generate new jobs as well as economic, social and/or environmental benefits such as productivity gains, efficiencies, cost savings and welfare improvements.

This fund will not support activities but is looking to support the sustainability of community venues who provide a safe and warm spaces for residents. Funding available £100,000 available. There is no minimum grant, but the maximum grant available is £5,000.

About The Tyne & Wear High Sheriff's Awards The Tyne & Wear High Sheriff’s Awards are made to voluntary and community organisations and registered charities based and working in Tyne and Wear. Applicants must focus their work with children and young people aged 10 to 25 years old. An application could be for a specific project, to purchase equipment or towards the running costs of your organisation. Your application should demonstrate how your organisation in relation to children and young people, demonstrates one or more of the following: • encourages them to make positive contributions to their community, diverts them from antisocial behaviour or crime, encourages them to be positive role models • helps them overcome disadvantage, promote life chances and realise potential • helps them develop self-confidence and interpersonal skills • provides skills, training and employment opportunities • encourages the development of volunteers and volunteering • promotes diversity and inclusion The organisations are celebrated together at an awards ceremony in March 2027 which highlights the huge impact they make to the lives of young people.
