Most grant search tools want a monthly subscription before they show you anything useful. That's fine if you apply for funding all year round. But plenty of organisations don't. A start-up wants to know what's out there before a funding push. A charity has one project to fund this year. A community group needs to know whether it's worth applying anywhere at all.
For them, a subscription is the wrong shape. So we built a way to match once and pay once.
What the grant match does
Go to grantshub.co.uk/match. You don't need an account.
Tell us four things with a few taps:
- What kind of organisation you are: business or start-up, registered charity, community or volunteer group, CIC or social enterprise, school, college or university, or something else
- What you do, your sector
- Where you're based, anywhere in England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland
- Roughly how much you need: under £5,000, £5,000 to £25,000, £25,000 to £100,000, over £100,000, or not sure yet
Then add a sentence about your organisation if you like. It's optional, but the more you tell us, the better the match. It takes about a minute.
We match you against every open UK grant we track, not a sample. Grants that plainly don't cover your area are dropped, so a business in Cardiff isn't shown a fund that's only for Bedford. You get your ten best matches, each with a match score.
What you see for free
Three of your ten matches are shown in full, free: the grant, the funder and the link.
The other seven are your strongest matches, and they're locked. You can still see each one's match score, roughly how much it's worth, roughly when it closes and what kind of funder it is. That's enough to tell whether the list is worth unlocking before you pay anything.
The £12.99 Grant Match Report
If the locked seven look worth having, one payment of £12.99 including VAT unlocks the full report. It isn't a subscription and nothing renews.
For each of your ten grants, the report gives you:
- The grant named, with a link to the funder's page
- Whether you look eligible, read against your own answers. It says "looks eligible", "not sure yet: confirm with the funder" or "probably not eligible", so you know where to spend your time
- What the funder usually gives, from their past awards where we have them
- How much to ask for, a suggested figure
- Whether the deadline is realistic for the time you have
Enter your email when you pay and we'll send you a link to your report, so you can come back to it later.
Match once, or subscribe?
Choose the one-off report if you want a clear answer now: which grants fit, which to go for first, and roughly what to ask for. Most people who apply once or twice a year are in this group.
Choose a subscription (from £19.99 a month) if funding is an ongoing job. Subscribers get every open grant matched to them, new grants as they appear, deadline alerts and keyword alerts. Grants Hub is checked daily.
You don't have to decide up front. If you buy the report and then join our Starter plan within 30 days, your £12.99 counts as your first month.
Who it's for
- Start-ups and small businesses looking for innovation, growth or local business grants before a funding round
- Small charities and community groups with one project to fund and no fundraising staff
- Social enterprises and CICs that fall between business and charity funding and aren't sure which side they qualify for
- Schools, colleges and universities checking what's open for a specific project
- Anyone new to grants who wants a shortlist rather than a database
Common questions
Can I find UK grants without paying for a subscription? Yes. The match at grantshub.co.uk/match is free and needs no account. It shows three of your ten best-matched grants in full. The full report with all ten is a single £12.99 payment.
Is the £12.99 report a free trial that turns into a subscription? No. It's one payment, and nothing renews. A subscription only starts if you choose one.
Does the report tell me I'm definitely eligible? No, and we're careful about that. It tells you whether you look eligible on what you've told us, and flags anything you need to confirm with the funder. The funder always has the final say.
Which grants does it cover? Open grants from UK funders: government, National Lottery distributors, trusts and foundations, community foundations, and innovation funders. It covers all four UK nations, and it's checked daily.
Do you take a cut if I win? No. We take 0% commission on any grant you win.
